I believe AI will benefit accounting as it will be able to automate certain tasks to create more efficiency in the workplace. However, humans will always need to understand how AI works in order to use it properly.

Constant improvements in the industry are crucial but often overlooked due to the idea that if something still works “good enough” it should not be changed, but we should always strive for absolute excellence.

I think AI will automate more of the work accountants do that it ever has. I see it completing all of the financial statements and the person just has to go back and check it
The accounting story of my image is an accountant with an inflated head trying to meet a deadline. The accountant’s head is inflated because of how much information he can store in his brain. I think that AI will affect accounting by speeding up repetitive tasks and making the accountants themselves more efficient. I don’t think that AI will replace accountants, just optimize them. I asked DALL-E “accountant with inflated head” and that is the image I got. I wasn’t expecting something like that, but I guess that is the beauty of AI.

I choose this image because of the general idea that accountants are boring. That they just sit in front of computers and look at numbers all day This picture represents the idea of someone who would have a more exciting life style and is an accountant portraying that the accountant has a very interesting style of living outside of his job.
a. The story of my image is playing on the basic “goal” of counting in accounting. I wanted to pair it with a cliche of “counting sheep” to fall asleep, to have a creative play on the profession.

For this accounting story, there is an image of an obviously tired, stressed man who is working through accounting issues. The accounting issues cause the man to become tired and annoyed. However, behind him is a model of Van Gogh’s art. This is symbolic because Van Gogh saw his life through a lens of difficulty, however, we see his work as beautiful. This can relate to accounting because although it is challenging and taxing, it can be seen in a more positive light if we choose to look at it that way.

It will make accounting easier and more efficient, thus reducing the need for tedious work.

A) For this accounting story, I decided to create an image of a more ancient looking woman working on accounting in the modern world. This was meant to demonstrate how accounting is a powerful, useful, and timeless skill.
B) I believe that AI has the potential and possibility to severely affect accounting. I would argue that much of the work of an accountant could be done by AI, therefore, accountants can use AI to their advantage by helping them input number and create programs at a quicker speed.
C) I Used Adobe Firefly, adn my prompt was: “Display an ancient accountant from the 1600’s, wearing ancient attire, working on numbers but in a very modern workplace.”
