9|EXCEL – Fred’s Fairly Reliable

It was a great challenge which reminded me that my Excel skills were a little rusty! The 10 best or 10 worst items is a great tool to have when presenting data to a client. I was happy I could take on this challenge!

My Solution

This was a good lesson in conditional formatting which can be very helpful in digesting information. The MOD was new for me but I will try to use it more when I can.

This was a great challenge! I was unfamiliar with these Exel functions before completing the challenge, and I feel like it was definitely worth the time invested. It was tricky, but I found the solution video, as well as some videos I found online, to be very helpful, especially with the last step. Good luck with the challenge and congrats if you already have completed it!

This was a great challenge! Not too complex and gave me some good practice with conditional formatting. I didn’t have a lot of experience with creating the new rules so I had to get a little bit of help on that. Overall, I enjoyed it.

After completing this challenge, I found it to be a great exercise in data analysis and visualization using Excel. By applying conditional formatting techniques, including highlighting alternating rows, identifying top and bottom-selling cars, and showcasing dealership margins and fuel efficiency, the spreadsheet now provides a clear and visually appealing representation of the data.

The use of icon sets and color scales help to effectively communicate important information, such as margins and fuel efficiency. Moreover, the rule to highlight entire rows for cars that excel in all parameters simplifies the decision-making process.

In conclusion, the analysis highlights the top five cars that Fred’s Fairly Reliable should prioritize for selling on the lot. These recommendations are based on a comprehensive assessment of popularity, dealership margins, and fuel efficiency, ultimately aiming to drive sales and ensure the dealership’s success.

I finished the assignment in about 25 minutes. I recommend that Tom displays the Corrolla, Accord, Camry, Taurus, and Explorer. It was helpful to go through the process of highlighting and organizing a graph to share results to an audience in a simple way

Interesting challenge was not familiar with finding even rows but it was easy enough to figure out and the solution video is also pretty good if you get stuck.

Great challenge, I had learned so much!!

This Challenge was fun I got to learn more about how specific conditional formatting can help to visually see results. This challenge didn’t take me too long to complete about 25 minutes and struggled a bit towards the end on the last task of highlighting the rows with top parameters. My recommendation would be for them to sell Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, and Toyota Camry!
