Great Challenge! I have never used conditional formatting before, so it was great to learn!
I learned a lot from this challenge! Boolean expressions have always interested me and being able to color the data and highlight the information I was looking for was really great.
This challenge was a great learning experience. I have never used conditional formatting before, so it was a nice introduction to that tool in Excel. If you would like help with conditional formatting, this challenge is a great resource.

This was a great exercise for organizing data into what is most useful with visual markers.
The secret to this assignment is using the conditional formatting tab in excel. It has all of the options you need and it’s all about putting the right commands. For example, the first task can be solved by using an =mod formula and setting the row to every two rows. The last problem can be solved by using an =and function. Here is the link to my solutions: you can check my work by going to the conditional formatting tab and clicking on manage rules:

This was a great challenge since I had extremely little experience with Conditional Formatting! I have learned a lot!
I’m definitely a beginner and this excel challenge was hard for me but really good. I haven’t spent much time creating rules and have never used the mod function before. I got some help from the solution video but learned a lot even through that!
I enjoyed this challenge. I took “Top Tier” to mean top 10%, and only the Explorer met the criteria.
Thanks for the hints Parker. I didn’t see them until after completing the challenge, but I will definitely apply them going forward.
Great challenge and practice on conditional formatting!
Fred and Tom should begin selling:
- Ford Taurus
- Ford Explorer
- Honda Accord
- Toyota Corolla
- Toyota Camry
It looks like the best cars to be showing on the lot are the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, and Toyota Camry

My solution is to sell the Taurus, Explorer, Accord, Corolla, and Camry.
Nice Challenge! At first I used the sort tools to figure out the first few requirements because I’m more used to it. But the last question question made me learn to use set rules from excel. I struggled a bit at first but finally made it through the challenge.
