87|ALTERYX – Password Cracker

Here is my solution

It was good to learn about the blob function. That makes more sense why your password should be less common. Even with a hash hackers can find your password if it’s common!

This was challenging, but good to know the new tool that I didn’t know before!

I had never used the blob convert tool so that was really interesting but a little confusing too. I tried it both ways (blob convert and with a formula so that was cool) good practice!

This one was great practice, I needed to look at the solution to learn but it was very helpful

I haven’t used the blob convert tool before, so I’m even more excited about what other tools Alteryx has. This was a much more difficult challenge for me (especially since the concepts were new), and the walk through had very good explanations after I attempted it on my own; I learned so much from this challenge. It’s so cool to see the different ways Alteryx can be used, and I’m feeling a lot more prepared for our Hackathon in class. I recommend that other students spend time watching additional YouTube videos on the Blob convert tool–it is very helpful.

I have never heard of the blob feature before. I will definitely be playing around with it more to better understand its use and functionality. Thanks for the challenge!

Fun challenge! I wanted my data to output the first and last name of the student to give us more information about who we would need to contact so I threw in another join to include the first and last name of the student with the matching username.

This was a very fun problem. I am hoping to go back and look at it more to better understand why everything is the way it is. Blob tool was also great!

This one was new for me using hashed passwords, but fun concept!

I hadn’t even known the blob tool existed, so it was neat to learn about it. I am still a little confused about how it works so I am going to practice more with it. Thanks for the challenge!
