I really enjoyed the contat function. Didn’t realize how quickly we’d be able to integrate our class learning into application

This was a great challenge. Really grateful to Mark who provided the advice about using the =TEXT function in order to get the correct number of digits in the Name ID. Super helpful tool!

Thank you for the opportunity to work on this challenge. I learned a lot! The solution video was so helpful when I got stuck.

Great Challenge Nate! The pattern was very clever! You should throw together a challenge on subliminal messaging via data trends haha. I initially tried to use a combination of string functions to separate out the text in the VotingData tab, but TEXTSPLIT was definitely the way to go!
I had some difficulty getting it to work as well, but I realized that my numbers were stored as text. I was able to manipulate them all into number values using the Text-to-Columns function (thanks ChatGPT), and it worked after that.
Excellent practice of the XLOOKUP function and using concatenation within a function. After viewing the solution video and analyzing the comments, I found the TEXTSPLIT function to be very helpful and much more straightforward than my original process.

Fun ending to a fun challenge! I had never used the Conditional formatting function up till this point. Inside my final Xlookup, I didn’t use the concat function, but rather just basic & symbols.

Awesome challenge! I learned so many formulas while doing this. It took me quite a long time to figure out but the result was worth-waiting.

It’s been a long time since I have concatenated and used the SUMIF functions. This has been a great review!
This was a great challenge to start with! I got to relearn how to use =XLOOKUP and I also learned about how to copy and paste as values so that data won’t get mixed up.

I totally overlooked the importance of converting the “numbers stored as text” to actual numbers. Once I did so, this was the result…

Ran into some issues with my last-step-formatting not working in excel, but when I exported it to google sheets and then re-imported it to excel it had cleaned up any broken formatting and worked great!
Great Challenge.
